Our in-house team of engineers deliver a level of detail and reliability that many competitors simply don't offer. Our engineering team will design your shed using 3D calculations, accommodating your site needs and taking into consideration a variety of site specific factors such as soil and environment types, to ensure the building is designed perfectly for your location and climate. We then provide you with extensive plans and a comprehensive construction manual, ensuring compliance with local council requirements for a smoother approval process. Each building is personally signed and stamped by an independent engineer with Full Professional Indemnity Insurance, giving you confidence in the structural integrity of your shed.

Our shed designs are customisable and our Product Managers will work with you to design a shed to suit your operational needs. Now Buildings sheds are engineered to extend at any time, so when your needs grow, so can you shed.

Each end column and internal column of a Now Buildings shed is uniform, enabling you to add bays, lean-tos or even join extra sheds down the track. Our specialised knee, apex, cross bracing and fly bracing give you the ability to select a custom shed height and extend your shed bay widths by increments of 100mm. This means you can work on getting a shed to suit your needs now with a view of adding to it in the future. 

Your shed can be picked up or delivered from 26 depots right across Australia.
Sheds may be collected from one of Now Buildings’ many depots nationwide, and delivery is available in most areas. Our logistics team will customise a delivery or pick up plan to suit your needs. If you choose to pick up your shed from one of our 26 depots, our friendly staff will ensure you have all of the necessary details to pick your shed up. If you decide to use a transport company, we’ll liaise with them directly and provide logistical assistance to ensure your pick up goes smoothly.

Our customer service truly sets us apart. We offer clear, responsive support at every stage, with a dedicated team that takes full ownership of your shed project. During the design and purchasing phase, our Product Managers and support staff are there to assist with questions and documents such as council approvals. Once your shed is ordered, our Logistics Team will coordinate the delivery or pick-up of your shed kit. At the same time, our Builder Support Team can help connect you with a referral builder to schedule construction of your shed.

After your shed arrives on site, our Solutions Team will follow up to support you through the build (whether you choose to use a referral builder or build yourself) and answer any remaining questions. We are always striving to make improvements, whether it’s to our engineering, customer service or shed selection. Our engineering team is continually improving our existing shed range, while also working to design new shed layouts to suit our customers needs.

Our team work closely with our referral builders across Australia, taking on their feedback to ensure our sheds are easy to build and our construction guidelines are easy to follow. This process, for example, has seen our hot dipped, galvanized footing brackets increase by 25% in size and 2mm in thickness, totalling 8mm per footing bracket.  This means even greater strength being transferred to the column that each footing is supporting. Additionally, haunch and apex brackets have increased in size by 35%, providing stronger column and rafter connections than ever before. We’ve also updated our process so that our steel members are punched during manufacturing, minimising the need to drill on site. 

We only supply high grade components, including 8.8 commercial grade bolts and class 4 fasteners in our buildings.

Our engineer designed sheds have a unique double bracketing connection system that bolts through the web and flange of the sections. For greater strength and ease of construction, we’ve also developed an inground footing system. Now Buildings sheds are also designed with superior durability in mind, with every column extending all the way through each haunch connection and joining directly to the corresponding rafter, ensuring the strength is transferred from a single member to a complete purlin.

All materials used in our sheds are of the highest quality to ensure your shed is strong and built to last. We use high tensile bolts, class 4 screws and high-grade industrial sheeting for both the roof and walls of your shed. All our sheds are certified to Importance Level 2, which is up to 30% stronger than traditional farm sheds.

The BlueScope® Steel we use has a tensile strength of 450 mega Pascals (MPa) to 500MPa. For comparison, structural mild steel is 250MPa. If lower-grade steel is used for the same building, larger quantities are required to do the same job and further additions again if any extra weight needs to be supported. We use only the highest grade steel available for construction to ensure your shed is as strong as possible and that you aren’t paying more for the shed of lesser quality.

With the goal of making it easier for both the customer and the builder, we’ve carefully refined our engineering over the past 18 years, taking on feedback from customers and builders alike and updating our process where necessary. 

Our sheds can be built in as little as one day. Here’s what we’ve done to save you time on-site during the build:

1. Universal Footing Brackets
Your shed kit comes supplied with a uniform footing bracket style and size, with the same brackets used across all differing column dimensions.

2. Shed Steel Members Punched
This minimises drilling on-site and ensures your frame will be constructed in its intended position. Following our illustrated guide, you or your builder simply match the pre-punched base bolt holes and fasten them together to assemble your footings to the required column size.

3. All our Portal Framing Bolts are Flange Purlin Bolts
No need to waste time assembling the washers, bolts and nuts individually.

4. Universal Framing and Main Brackets
Don’t worry about sorting out left and right brackets. Our unique design means the assembly is the same on both sides. This design reduces picking errors by 95% as we know how frustrating it is when you have the ‘24 left bracket’ but you need the ‘12 left/right bracket’.

5. Pre-bent Fly Bracing
All our fly bracing is prebent to suit your purlins, girts and framing to save hours bending flat sheets of metal.  Our fly bracing and brackets also include laser cut pilot holes so that you know exactly where your fixings go.  

6. Main Tek and Bolt Wastage
We supply a generous wastage factor for all main fixing bolts and screws. If you accidentally drop a frame bolt in the mud from a scissor lift you can continue on rather than hold up construction looking for it!

7. Footing Bracket Hinging System
Hinge the frames up via their footings rather than lifting the whole frame with a crane.

8. Technical Construction Manual with Drawings and Exploded Views
We’ve used exploded connection drawings to visually demonstrate each step of the building process. This makes it easier to identify the materials required as well as how they fit together.

9. Referral Builder Network
We have a number of builders around Australia who love building our sheds. If you want your shed construction completed without a hassle, our Product Managers can refer you to a referral builder in your area.

10. Construction Support
When you build your Now Buildings shed, you’ll have access to ongoing construction support from our experienced Builder Consultant, Paul, who has 15 years experience building our sheds. He will be available via phone call to walk you through any issues you may have during construction. For additional peace of mind, we also have a dedicated Solutions Support Team in house at Now Buildings as well as a Concreter’s Hotline.  Our Solutions Support Team can assist with anything from construction queries to ensuring you have received your shed project in full and in good order. The Concreter’s Hotline can assist with any footing measurement, pier depth or slab queries you may have
